Collection: Tachi

"Tachi" is a Japanese long sword, typically featuring a curved single edge. It is a traditional weapon from ancient Japan primarily used in mounted combat. Tachi blades are usually longer, designed for use while mounted on horseback, with dimensions typically ranging from 103 to 113 centimeters. In Japanese history, the tachi symbolized the samurai class and was often worn by high-ranking samurai to signify their status and honor. During times of peace, tachi could also serve as ceremonial swords or for formal occasions.
